Let’s be clear about this.

It’s compulsory to vote.

It’s compulsory to stop at a red traffic light.

But it isn’t compulsory to connect to the NBN.

You get fined if you don’t vote

You get fined if you run a red light.

You won’t get fined if you don’t connect to the NBN.

You will need the NBN if you wish to have a CapTel phone or a VOIP phone.

You will need the NBN for the Telstra XS Home phone basic plan for $27.95 per month.

But you won’t need the NBN if you choose a desktop phone like the Essence which takes a mobile phone sim card.

You won't need the NBN if you choose to use a Tablet or Phablet that can make phone calls (you will need a device like the Samsung Tab A that takes a mobile phone sim card - It will say 4G & LTE capable.

And you won't need the NBN if you choose a docking station desktop device like the Zigee or the Uniden 8355. Y
